LSU’s Olivia Dunne claims she’s just an ‘ordinary girl’ after question about fame

Olivia Dunne, a top gymnast for LSU Tigers, engaged in an Instagram Q&A ahead of the Sprouts Farmers Market Collegiate Quad trip to Utah, drawing parallels to "Hannah Montana" by responding to fame-related questions with lyrics from "Ordinary Girl" by Miley Cyrus.

Despite Dunne's massive social media following, she sees herself as just a regular person, expressing relatable emotions and experiences through the song's lyrics.

With nearly 5 million Instagram followers and 8 million TikTok followers, Dunne has secured lucrative NIL deals, including a feature in the Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition.

However, Dunne faces security concerns, necessitating a traveling security guard due to a previous incident at the University of Utah, and she opts out of physical class attendance for safety reasons.

Despite the chaos, Dunne remains focused on gymnastics as LSU prepares for a new season following a fourth-place finish at the NCAA Championships last year.

LSU recently edged out Ohio State but dropped to fifth place in the rankings, setting the stage for a high-stakes matchup with No. 1 Oklahoma, No. 2 Utah, and No. 12 UCLA.

Dunne values connecting with her fans but remains cautious due to past security scares, prioritizing safety above all else.

As LSU gears up for another competitive season, Dunne's attention is squarely on gymnastics, aiming for further success with the Tigers.
