Colin Kaepernick to Replace Kellen Moore on Jim Harbaugh Chargers Staff?

What about Colin Kaepernick's desire to return to the NFL? He has fans... but, in part because he is 36 and has not played professional football since 2016, none of them are in command of actual NFL franchises.

Unless that is, he a) has just acquired a supporter in charge and b) wishes to abandon the concept of really playing.

With Jim Harbaugh now coaching the Los Angeles Chargers, there is talk that the former San Francisco 49ers quarterback may find a new method to revitalize his professional career.

Harbaugh picked Kaepernick. They went to the Super Bowl together. There is a connection, as Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio has pointed out.

Can he coach? Interestingly, from the perspective of the Dallas Cowboys, Harbaugh's decision and the changes he is likely to make have an influence on Kellen Moore, the former Dallas offensive coordinator who spent last year in that job with the Chargers.

The Chargers provided Moore with a courtesy interview before their huge Harbaugh splash.

Of course, there is no reason to believe Moore will be retained by the new boss since Harbaugh will almost certainly populate his team with long-time loyal aides from Michigan.

Then there's the possibility of Kaepernick, the quarterback coach, moving into Kellen's former office space.
